The Crystal Cup Championship 2011 is just around the corner. It is indeed a sad day for Dancesport in England. As trainers and coaches, I am quite sure that the last thing Olga and Nick wants is to have problems with anyone. It is not a case of Olga and Nick keeping quiet, they also have to say their peace. Below is a letter by Nick and Olga to Bryan Allen the President of the British Dance Council (BDC).
Much have been spoken about BDC, but you the public will have to come to your own conclusion in this whole sordid episode. I strongly believe Bryan Allen owes English Dancesport an explanation for calling for a boycott to the Crystal Cup Championship this 22nd May 2011.

You see Olga and Nick you chaps might as well abandon IDSF and go back to BDC . What can IDSF do for you nothing. They only take care of things in Europe and do not bother about you chaps in England.
Forget sports, go with the flow , united we stand divided we fall. Follow that advice.

Dear Anon 9.15 am it is not the tunnel vision of the BDC or the WSC AL. If you want to be the Joan of Arc of English Dancesport that is fair. You know what happened to her. Be practical you are trying to earn a livilihood in England, why associate yourself to a European body? The BDC only knows how to react, it is their way or no way. It is not a question of options that you have, you want to teach and operate in England you have to tow the line. Bryan Allen will do everything to destroy your business. You are not look at as a competitor but an enemy. This is a friendly advice. Just apologise and come back!
@WDC-AL: I am sad to learn that you think Brits are higher than the Europeans. I assume you think Brits are higher than the Americans and Asians too.

I am shocked by the comments made by WDC AL. Is that what BDC is all about, the big bully of the English dance world. I would never have expected this from WDC AL or from anyone.
What is frightening is what WDC AL said are all consonant with the actions of BDC. Starting with the use of Rule 57 of their rule book, that does not apply at all. Then there is the case of EADA being coerced to go back to BDC. Ah! what can we say about the likes of David Corefield. If he can sell English amateur Dancesport,m he can also sell his soul.
This hatered for IDSF runs deep and I suspect all because the Europeans are beating the English in their own game and now they will not allow them to go to their turf in England.
@John: I agree with your reasoning.
(1) The Europeans are beating the English at their own game;
(2) The Asians are beating the English at their own game;
(3) The Americans are beating the English at their own game.

Bryan Allen's pretty upset that the whole whole have caught up, and overtaken the British at their own game. So he's resorting to ensuring that the British never see the high quality of dancing outside England.
I read with utter disgust and disbelief the comments made by WDC-AL. Is this what English dancesport all about? If this is how EADA & BDC looks at Dancesport, then they deserve the utter contemp and hatred showered on them. I am totally disgusted!

Dear Anon 9.20am no point being rude to me. I am merely pointing the truth of English dancesport. Please understand we do not want European politics to dominate our events. We do not need them then and we still do not need them now. Why bother about IDSF when WDC is just at your door steps. On Skydancer extolling that Dancesport will be in the Olympics, okay when it happens tell us, WDC have their position all covered. We are in WADA also no different than WDC.Should it happens we as country cannot be ignored and the last thing we want is IDSF telling us who can compete or who cannot compete. Our British Olympic Coucil (BOC) have no IDSF National Federation for Dancesport in England. It is an open field and I do not see how BOC can ignore BDC a body that has been in existence since 1929. Dancesport England is a non starter. The situation in England is unique. Accept that!
@WDC-AL: Of course the BOC and ignore the BDC. Recognition is not based on how long you have been in existence, but more importantly, how relevant you are.
If all the various national olympic committees recognise their fellow IDSF member, I am sure the BOC will not stand out like a sore thumb and recognise an old bunch of retirees (WDC). Isn't this what you mentioned? "Go with the flow"?
The only people with the information, the knowledge, the full deck of cards belong to WDC. You feel so sorry for those IDSF dancers who for years have been denied knowledge and information, but hey! there is hope the WDC Asian Amateur League brings light to darkness. Like a lighthouse they warn dancers of the IDSF Rocks. You have no respect for yourself, for Human Rights, for the Ilympoc Charter, to ignore the lighthouse and perish on the rocks that is your choice. You were warned and chose to keep eyes and ears closed.
One thing IDSF members can be sure - there are a lot of people getting rich because you fail to see the world around you.

Dear Dance Mate, your mail 9.49 pm is totally out of order. Calling Nick & Olga refugees and remarks suggesting that they be kick out of England is most unfair. Such remarks are racist in nature and as the moderator of this Blog, I am removing that posting immediately. Anon 9.07am I think you are wrong to say WDC dancers moves are like bangra. I know there are similarities but they are not the same. I noticed that wnen De Filippo does the samba roll, it is same with our copyrighted chicken wings moves. No our plan is bigger than that we want Ballroom dancing to be part of our organisation, so that we can change the choreography to include some Banghra moves. WDC or BDC are based on culture and art, so it is easy for them to accept the changes. The IDSF people are sport based and they are quite rigid, I doubt they are interested in our bangra choreography. It is a big job but we have to start somewhere. Thank you for the compliment I am sure the WDC people welcome your remark that they dance like our bangra. However my brothers and sisters may not take it too kindly. Jaiho!

May I mention that in Britain Indian food has long become the most populat food in the country.
In sporting terms IDSF on the carpet and being counted out. I do understand your despertion. North America lost to IDSF, Asia lost to IDSF, huge chunks of urope lost to IDSF. U think the IOC are becoming increasingly disillusioned by the damage being done by IDSF.

You have to laugh at desperate people when they accuse someone of Racism because they say a Russian is a Russian but that explains the desperation of the IDSF and their supporters today.
Please provide proof that Nick and Olga are not from Russia. Please provide proof they did not move to UK at time of a Communist Dictatorship. No proof? Apologise. However apologies require decent standards of behavior and integrity. I expect little of that here.
In SPORT terms IDSF are on the floor and being counted OUT!! They are losing support in so many areas. North America lost, Asia Lost, huge areas of Europe Lost.
IOC must be disillusioned at the damage being down by IDSF.
Dear Dance Mate, you are one sick cookie, what is wrong with you if Olga and Nick origin are Russia. That is the trouble with you Eastern Europe chaps (in one of dance mate posting he says that he is from Eastern Europe). Nick & Olga came from Russia to settle in England and are successful, you get envious and jealous.
Dance Mate have a life, perhaps the Bangra Brothers have an opening for you, not that it is bad,but certainly the pulsating beat of the drums may help to clear your mind.

Today is a sad sad day. Wars have been fought and people have died to preseerve FREEDOM. Today Russians living in England will make their bid to destroy Freedom to Dance In England.
They have no wish to produce an event OPEN TO ALL. They wish to organise an event just for members of a private Sports body. That is their right but they should admit to what they are about. Do they have no integrity?
No person with integrity and decent standard can oppose Freedom and honesty. This is contrary to everything in which decent people believe.
To get people to attend the "CLOSED" event the Carrot and the stick approach is being used. Some are being told we will pay everything for you to be there and others are being told "If you do not dance you can forget good marks in the future"
Shame that at this website people applaud this behaviour.

Dance Mate you be careful what you say if you want to be part of our Bangra brotherhood. Many English has joined us, you are Eastern European, you can join us but we do not want racist. We are Asian from Punjab India orginally. but now we are as English as the Queen and we speak Queens English. Our adopted country have no problems with us, so you do not call people to go home, we take it as an insult and it goes against the Race Relation Act.
